Looking back and forward, executives of the Pharma, Medical and Diagnostics businesses shared the results of their business during the first half of the year and their plan for the second half of the year online revolving around two themes: growth and development.

YOUTH FORUM
The nation will be strong only when its young people are strong. By the same token, Luye will be strong only when its young people are strong. With a series of policies introduced recently by the company, there are better mechanisms and resources to ensure the development of young people. The new Youth Forum during the 26th anniversary celebrations allowed more young people to take the stage to express their views and unleash their creativity and wisdom. The Youth Forum will become a permanent event in the future and a stage for young people to demonstrate their capabilities.

SCIENCE FORUM
The Science Forum of Luye Life Sciences Group as an important platform for scientific exchange has been focused on sharing and discussing the new trends, new technologies and new projects in strategic areas of priority to the group, to obtain insights into cutting-edge technologies, and to help the group achieve profound transformations and develop in-depth blueprints. Dr. Li Jian, VP of WuXi AppTec for New Drug Development in China, was invited to the forum, to share "the new forms of the proteolysis-targeting chimeras and the new strategy for their development".

At this special moment of milestone importance, Liu Dianbo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Luye Life Sciences Group, expressed thanks to the partners and friends from various walks of life for supporting Luye over the years and to all Luye employees for their hard work. Especially under the pressure of the pandemic, it was because of them that Luye could keep making breakthroughs.

In the first half of the year, the global pandemic was becoming increasingly serious, while making steady progress, the group's Pharma, Medical and Diagnostics businesses also faced tremendous challenges. Externally, the group's various BUs were adjusting business models to make breakthroughs; and internally, they were improving the management systems across the board.

We should understand the situation, gain insights into the crisis, and use forward thinking to keep abreast of the times. We should firmly believe in our strategy, to change and innovate, and to improve organizational capabilities. What is important is to develop grassroots capabilities, to efficiently execute the group's various management policies, to improve the effectiveness of management, to become an enterprise that is very competitive in management, and to help achieve the group's strategic goals.

While reflecting, we should also be confident of our own strengths, unwaveringly continue to tap into our resilience, endurance and determination of the past 26 years, leverage all resources to focus on our strategic areas, accelerate the launch of competitive products, reinforce our beliefs, and accelerate our steps into the new age to eventually realize the dream for Luye.
