Let's review some of the wonderful activities held by Luye employees around the world ~
Annual HCA Healthe Hearts Day and Red Feb raised awareness for heart health
On the annual Healthe Hearts Day (14th February), all the HealtheCare staff were encouraged to wear red and donate to life-saving research. Participants could order free heart smart pocket guide or donate to Heart Research Australia (HRA).
With recent statistics showing that heart disease kills one Australian every 28 minutes and one New Zealander every 90 minutes, ‘Healthe Hearts Day’ provides an opportunity for healthcare professionals and communities to consider the steps they can take to improve their overall heart health. With the donation, HRA supports 'seed' funding for researchers to conduct ground-breaking research for heart disease; and by knowing and recognising the symptoms of a heart attack, we could help save someone’s life, maybe even our own.
With COVID-19 restrictions firmly in place this year, Healthe Hearts activities looked slightly different to previous years, with many sites opting to raise awareness on-site through fun activities and healthy nutrition.
Women's Day Activities
At The Hills Clinic Kellyville, Australia, the Healthe Care team were inspired by the theme “Hands up for Women,” offering paper hands to patients to decorate and hang on the walls. The patients wrote about women who had inspired them and decorated the hands with colour.
With up to 78% of all Australian healthcare professionals being female, we took the opportunity this International Women’s Day to celebrate all of the wonderful women across our Healthe Care sites; endorsing this year’s theme – Choose to Challenge, as from challenge comes change.
It was a pleasure to acknowledge this day and celebrate the amazing women who contribute to our patient care across all Healthe Care sites.
On March 8th, the 111th International Working Women's Day was celebrated. Luye Life Sciences (Yantai) specially held a health lecture for the female colleagues ~
