Mental health problems increase amid Covid-19 pandemic, causing a catastrophic impact on patients and their family members. During this special period, it has become especially important to raise public awareness for mental health. The UN has urged governments around the world to take the mental health consequences seriously, and ensure widespread availability of mental health support. “Mental health services are an essential part of all government responses to Covid-19. They must be expanded and fully funded”, said the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
Luye Pharma collaborated with partners from multiple countries to increase the accessibility of Seroquel® in emerging markets around the world including APAC and LATAM. Series of activities including online and offline lectures by key opinion leaders across the region, helping to educate the public and further raise awareness of matters related to mental illness.

Closely followed the Asia Pacific, Latin America team had launched a similar campaign “We Care About Mental Health” and achieved encouraging response and very positive results.
The campaign was organized via webinar, endorsed by the Mexican Psychiatry Association and led by its president, Dr. Bernardo Ng. More than 200 attendees participated the webinar and the link was shared through the Mx association. The first speaker approached his experience on how to cope with COVID-19 psychology effects and discussed about the risks of the Mental health Pandemic. More encouragingly, the second speaker approached a positive perspective of the life showing the good side of that issue.
“During the implementation of this initiative, Luye International team is well integrated. Maybe this team work initiative should be emphasized as well 'Together is better'.”
