Liu Aona Discussed the Power of Perseverance at Global Forum 

Liu Aona, Executive Chairperson of Luye Medical Group, was invited by JP Morgan to its annual Women’s Forum in Singapore on 4th July, where she and other female leaders and innovators tapped into the theme “The Power of Perseverance”.

At the esteemed panel, she shared her insights about women's health, perseverance, and holistic development from a medical perspective. By introducing the business scope of Luye Medical, especially how Mindfront Health began with mission and belief, and developed with breakthroughs and innovation, she explained what "perseverance" means from two dimensions:

First, everyone should care about physical and mental health, and practice self-interest and altruism with mindfulness. It is truly a wonderful and meaningful thing if we insist on helping ourselves and others to achieve spiritual growth.

Secondly, for health industry players, the social demand for mental health and healthcare services has exploded and is poised for further growth, but in a business environment full of uncertainty and where people are not fully aware of their own needs, we are supposed to stick to our responsibilities to take the very first step, help society understand what mental health is, eliminate the sense of shame, and give those in need the necessary support and guidance.

Later, Liu Aona engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on the importance of education and entrepreneurship across Asia, and the critical role of resilience in overcoming challenges. “I look forward to collaborating with you to create more synergy”, she said.

Mindfront Health and ASDAN China Jointly Launched an Exclusive Mental Health Training Project for Youth 

With the rapid development of the social economy, psychology and counselling have attracted more and more attention from people. We can see that compound talents with backgrounds in related disciplines such as psychology and neuroscience have become increasingly popular, and these university majors have also attracted more applicants. Mindfront Health has joined hands with ASDAN China, China's leading international quality education platform, to exclusively launch a tailor-made mental health training project for teenagers, providing extremely scarce front-line practical internship opportunities for young people who are interested in joining the psychology and counselling industries.

From June to the end of July, Mindfront Health teamed up with ASDAN China to successfully carried out a series of professional practice training in its Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen mental health outpatient centres. Led by psychiatrists and psychological counselors, the young trainees conducted a five-day immersive professional practice, systematically studying psychology and neurology theories, and conducting psychological counseling, psychometry, art therapy case discussions, and other practices.

Through this project, the trainees completed career enlightenment from psychology enthusiasts to professional students, gained rare hospital practice opportunities, and obtained a project internship certificate issued by Mindfront Health, as well as the "Career Development and Career Competency Planning" certificate officially recommended by UCAS.

In Robina Private Hospital, the Nanda Ward received some adorable visitors from our friends at 'Parrots for Purpose'. 'Parrots for Purpose' provides people living with a disability, domestic violence survivors, people suffering from mood disorders or mental health conditions and many more with a companion to grow, share and travel through the next chapter of life with.

We believe the upgraded facilities, together with the delivery of professional and caring services from our staff and animal friends, will brighten the lives of vulnerable patients accessing mental health.

 

Huayi Rehabilitation Hospital Made Its Mark at An Authoritative Academic Conference 

The 2024 Academic Conference of the Rehabilitation Medicine Branch of the Shandong Medical Ethics Society was held in Jinan, Shandong recently. In the academic exchange session, representatives of Yantai Huayi Rehabilitation Hospital actively communicated with more than 100 rehabilitation experts presented to jointly explore theme of "Healthcare Empowerment of the Silver Age". Showcasing their rehabilitation resource advantages, they exchanged experiences in healthcare empowerment in terms of healthcare integration, humanistic rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, and social rehabilitation services. They explored new directions for innovative development, and discussed the development paths of neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, general healthcare services, traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation, children's rehabilitation, VR rehabilitation, and health management.

At the conference, Iris Shi, Vice President of Luye Medical (China) and Dean of Yantai Campus, was elected as Vice Chairman of the Shandong Medical Ethics Society.

 

A research in animal models of LYB004, the shingles vaccine developed by Patronus Biotech was published in Frontiers in Immunology

Recently, a research of Patronus Biotech’s self-developed shingles vaccine LYB004 in animal models was published in Frontiers in Immunology.

In this research, Patronus developed LYB004, a novel vaccine candidate utilizing self-owned U-VLP™ platform to display the recombinant VZV gE antigen. In primed mouse and rhesus macaque models, LYB004 not only induced higher cellular immune responses(CMI) than licensed vaccine, but also significantly better than other VLP platform including I53-50, ferritin and AP205. Therefore, this research suggests LYB004 particle molecules have excellent immunogenicity and can achieve clinical protection requirements even without strong adjuvants, which effectively solve the safety shortcomings of licensed products. As a result, LYB004 is a highly promising candidate in the next-generation shingles vaccine development; and U-VLP™ is a suitable platform not just for developing shingles vaccine, but also other nanoparticle vaccines in the future.
