We Do Good and We Do Well – Aurora Healthcare Spreads Love in June
“People fist, people always” is the motto of Aurora Healthcare, and also what the team does to create a caring, respectful, trusting and positive culture across various sites throughout June.
Brunswick Private Hospital hosted a delightful Biggest Morning Tea event to wrap up the eventful May, and the turnout was fantastic! And here are some snaps from the South Eastern team’s Palliative Care Week celebrations, which not only raised awareness about the vital role of palliative care but also recognised the expertise and empathy that emerge during challenging moments, fostering essential discussions about end-of-life care and overall well-being.
You may also recall that a few weeks ago, Robina Private Hospital held its first art auction together with a month-long fundraising and advocacy campaign for eating disorders. All funds from the silent auction have been donated to the Butterfly Foundation. We are overwhelmed by the talent and generosity shown by our beautiful patients who have painted, drawn, knitted and donated absolutely incredible work over the past few weeks to this worthy cause.
An incredible team of Robina staff recently took part in the annual Dementia Australia's Memory Walk and Jog to raise awareness and funds for over 421,000 people in Australia living with dementia.
Everyone who took part in the walk took part for their own reasons. The fundraising total for the Gold Coast Memory Walk and Jog reached over $110,000! Look, they are extremely proud to be a part of such a worthy cause.
Celebrating Men's Health Week is another major event in June. By encouraging open conversations, promoting self-care, and seeking professional assistance when necessary, our team help those in need to break the silence take vital steps toward improving mental health.
The hospital also held an event showcasing their exemplary eating disorder program. The comprehensive, multidisciplinary care provided is truly impressive and covers all medical and psychosocial aspects of recovery in supporting those struggling with eating disorders.
Thank you to everyone involved in what has been a huge success. We do good and we do well; and with love we go further.
Employees in the Shanghai office organized activities to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival by rolling up their sleeves and making their own sachet with different spices.
