Today, we are going to meet an elegant and intelligent lady from the Luye Pharma AG (Europe) Miesbach Office!
Background: In 2016, Luye completed the acquisition of Acino´s transdermal patch business in Europe, which allowed the company to expand its business to mainstream international markets including Europe and the United States. This was a landmark step in Luye's internationalization strategy. With the company’s global presence increasing, cross-border communication and cooperation have become more routine, and a lot of Luye employees have grown in the process.
Pauly Heike is the administrative assistant of Luye Pharma AG formerly Acino AG) in Miesbach, Germany. Her main duties are to support the work of the board chairman of Luye Pharma AG, including his daily scheduling, speech preparation, conference organizing, etc. She is also responsible for organizing employee activities and external activities related to the Miesbach office.
Heike in her cozy office
With the trend of Luye's global business development, Heike usually works closely with the international locations in Switzerland, China and USA.
"These are diverse and challenging tasks because no day is like the other but that´s why I love this job. "
This is the beautiful reception area in Miesbach. The entire building is full of modern art, giving it a fresh and clean atmosphere!
Speaking of Miesbach's office, let’s enjoy the new office environment brought about by Heike’s brand rejuvenation!
During the year long process of rejuvenating Luye’s global brand, Heike was responsible for several updates and changes to the logo whilst in Misbach's office. Throughout this period, Heike worked closely with the Chinese team to ensure that every detail strictly followed the brand specifications. "From the sign at the entrance of the building, the 3D logo at the front desk area, the signage at various areas and,to the various office supplies , we completed the brand updates with a very high standard. We really like the new brand images and the color, and we are very happy to let them fit into our work!”
She also discussed the latest international project that impressed her most: the CPhI just held in Frankfurt, Germany in November. "Luye Pharma’s participation in the world's top exhibitions is exciting for everyone!" As the key person in charge of the exhibition preparation, Heike and her colleagues from the international team prepared for over a year.
Well-decorated Luye Pharma Booth
There was a lively exchange in the booth area. The Luye international commercial team was having in-depth conversations with senior decision-makers and managers of the pharmaceutical supply chain from around the world. In an effort to explore cooperation opportunities, the team networked with professionals in all different stages of the pharmaceutical production process, from drug development to the finished product.
In this exhibition, Luye Pharma (Europe) displayed its leading technology in each step of the transdermal patch process, from R & D and production to nearly 4,000 interested professionals from more than 130 countries around the world. This has led to Luye exploring cooperation efforts with high-level decision makers and managers from the entire pharmaceutical supply chain.
About CPhl:
CPhI is an established event for displaying pharmaceutical ingredients, as well as a professional exhibition for pharmaceutical intermediates. Furthermore, it serves as an outlet for the development of the entire pharmaceutical industry. The first CPhI was held in 1990 and has been successfully held for 29 years in major cities across Europe.
We conducted an exclusive interview with Heike regarding her experience in preparing for this year’s CPhI.
The following is the synopsis of this interview contents:
1.Can you introduce this year‘s CPHI in Frankfurt, and the meaning of Luye participation?
CPhI is one of the most important exhibitions for pharmaceutical companies and their suppliers. It is a good opportunity for Luye Europe to present ourselves there as developer and manufacturer for new dosage forms to get in touch with potential new customers and suppliers.
2.What details have you done during the whole organization? How long have you been preparing it?
Preparation started almost one year ago with hotel booking and the search for an agency for designing and building the booth. (The stand is booked by Luye China). The main part of the organization starts about 3 months before CPhI: Finalization of participants (Luye China and International), inform all about the booth design and meeting possibilities, set-up of a meeting schedule for all to fill in appointments, start revision of brochure material. And of course, the catering on the booth and other things such as coffee maker and tea maker must be ordered in time. Last but not least I arrange a team dinner for all participants for the evening before CPhI starts.
3. Please share more information about Luye’s booth, such as what’s the theme, what we showcased, what’s Luye’s highlight.
We highlighted our capability as “Partner of choice for transdermal patches – from concept to product” and our global presence as Luye Group (map of all countries).
4. What challenges you met when you organized and how did you solve?
Everything went smoothly during the organization, although the coordination with the local exhibition company itself is a bit difficult, because the Luye Group rents the stand, but Luye Europa organizes everything on site. That costs some time and sometimes also some nerves :-) But the good cooperation with Luye China (Allen Wang – Thank you!) helps solving such issues in time.
5. Any good feedbacks and results we have got.
All internal participants liked the design of the booth and appreciated the space on it for meetings. We had many customers coming in as well as prospective customers, which we see as indication that the booth attracted them. Follow up on leads is ongoing.
5.Please share with us some of your insights from this experience.
I really appreciate working together with the international team when organizing the exhibition for Luye - it's not a one-off job, it's teamwork. And – after all the work to get the booth organized, the brochures ready and to make sure that all participants know where to go I am glad to be part of the booth team, to see that everything goes smoothly and to continue supporting the international team at the exhibition.
