Take our plant in Germany as an example, affected by the epidemic, many employees in the German plant were infected and were isolated at home. The plant promptly made contingency plans to ensure the health of employees and risk control, and made adequate work scheduling and manpower arrangements to ensure the safety and stability of production and the smooth operation of the supply chain. Logistics Breakout During Shanghai Lockdown
During the pandemic, people who living in Shanghai are in lockdown for over a month, which has caused risk to patients with daily medication demands. Luye Pharma (China) joined forces from multiple departments to ensure drug supply to Shanghai market.
Colleagues from Yantai are working late at night to prepare for shipment
Starting from the beginning of March, colleagues from Business and Merchants Department who based in Shanghai began to share drug supply updates with Yantai Drug Trading Company. They have prepared inventory analysis and backup plans to cope with the potential pandemic breakout in Shanghai. At the end of March, Shanghai was put into lockdown, all logistics and transportation were stopped. The Group initiated the emergency plan with multiple departments working together. They have break through all the challenges and difficulties and eventually secured stable drug supply in Shanghai.
Rapid Response to Emergency
At 10 o'clock in the evening of March 18, Yantai Zhifu District issued a temporary lockdown notice from March 19 at 00:00 due to the pandemic. Employees who live in Zhifu District will not be able to work. In order to secure manufacturing progress, the Group’s Administration Department released an emergent announcement and gathered 50 employees before the lockdown, and secured routine manufacturing schedule.
A Day of Being a Volunteer
COVID-19 test has become a new normal during the pandemic. Starting from this March, the Industrial Park has gone through rounds of COVID-19 tests. Due to medical staff shortage, colleagues from Administration Department of Shandong Luye received training and became volunteers to support COVID-19 tests for 1219 employees in the company.
Precise Prevention and Control Measures With Not One Less
The pandemic has posed great pressure to Shandong International Biotechnology Park with 100 companies and 1000 staff working in here. The Park has been actively working with authorities to develop strategic prevention and control measures, to safeguard everyone’s health.
It is important to ensure everyone get COVID-19 test, the Park organized a service group responsible for conducting tests twice a week, make sure no one missed their tests, supportive measures are also taken in the meantime.The Industrial Park coordinated vaccination resources from local disease control authority, to provide convenient vaccination to employees working in the park. Relative promotion and sign-up work are also arranged to ensure the services can cover all companies, which received broad recognitions.

Go Against the Current to Support Pandemic Control at the Frontline
Yantai hospitals of Luye Medical paid close attention to the pandemic, a group of medical staff from 4 hospitals went to the frontline to support pandemic control and donated medical supplies.
Shanghai is in lockdown in April, patients are facing shortage of psychotropic drugs. Mindfront Medical collaborated with Shanghai Mental Health Center to secure drug supplies to patients in need by providing a green channel for patients to make a follow-up appointment online and get their medication prepared offline.

LYB001, the COVID-19 vaccine project under Patronus Biotech is at the key stage at the moment. The plant has established a pandemic prevention and control working group and developed comprehensive countermeasures, covering all perspectives including external communication, internal management, equipment testing, goods control & management and others.

The clinical study in Laos is ongoing at the moment, this is the first time for Luye to conduct clinical study in developing country. All colleagues have to make every effort to proceed with this project despite all the difficulties in Laos. The management team have traveled to Laos to build up communication with local healthcare authorities. The Group has taken highly attention to expatriate employees’ health.

In mid-March, a batch of LYB001 samples need to be sent to Beijing for reinspection and the clock is ticking. Yantai is in strict pandemic control during that time, trucks with Yantai license plate are not allowed to travel to other cities and provinces. The Supply Chain Department coordinated trucks and drivers in Yantai, Jinan and Beijing. A relay race among the 3 cities is on, and the samples were successfully delivered to Beijing right on time.

Shanghai is greatly influenced by the pandemic. Luye Shanghai released work-from-home notice to secure employees’ health. With the growing severity of the epidemic, the company actively provided assistance to some colleagues facing special difficulties to meet their home living needs; after the city-wide lockdown, the Shanghai office, under the challenge of a serious shortage of city-wide logistics capacity, made every effort to dispatch resources from all sides to deliver "love packages" to employees, providing vegetables, meat, eggs and other fresh food supplies.
